Swarm Season...
Honey bee swarming season normally occurs in South Carolina during the months of May and June, although there are exceptions.
This is the time of year when swarms may enter the wall of structures and become a pest problem. A swarm will enter a void or cavity that averages about 10 gallons in size. Normally, honey bees favor a cavity entrance that faces southeast and is about 1.5 inches in diameter.
